Account Information

When you register, we collect your name and email address. If you sign up via email and password, your password is stored in hashed form. If you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google — we do not receive or store your Google password.

Project Data

We store the content you create within the Service, including projects, nodes, links, data sources, and their associated metadata (labels, descriptions, positions, types).

Usage Data

We may automatically collect certain information when you access the Service, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages viewed. This data helps us understand how the Service is used and improve it.

Real-Time Data

When you collaborate on a project, we process real-time presence information (which users are online) and ephemeral chat messages. Presence data is held in server memory only and is not persisted. Chat messages are not stored — they exist only while participants are connected and are lost on disconnect or page refresh.

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including authentication and project collaboration features
• Send transactional emails such as email verification, password reset, welcome messages, and project invitation notifications
• Analyse usage patterns to improve the Service and fix issues

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

• Collaborators — when you share a project, other members can see your name, email, and the project data you contribute
• Service providers — we use third-party providers for hosting, database management, email delivery, and authentication. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Project data is retained until you delete it or delete your account. Ephemeral data (chat messages, presence indicators) is not persisted and is discarded when sessions end.

If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data and project data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data

We use httpOnly session cookies for authentication purposes only. These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be opted out of. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

We also store a theme preference (dark/light mode) in your browser's local storage to remember your display settings.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
