About Relational Nodes
What is Relational Nodes?
Relational Nodes is an interactive graph visualisation tool for mapping relationships, decomposing metrics, and understanding complex systems. Build force-directed graphs in your browser, collaborate with your team in real time, and track how data flows through your organisation.
Our Mission
We believe that the best way to understand complexity is to see it. Relational Nodes gives teams a shared canvas to visualise the relationships that matter — whether that's breaking down a revenue metric into measurable components or mapping the services that power your platform.
Project Categories
Every project in Relational Nodes belongs to a category, each with its own rendering rules and interaction model:
- Decomposition Map — Break down metrics and KPIs into progressively smaller measurable values. Leaf nodes bind to concrete data sources, and colour-coded status indicators show mapping coverage at a glance.
- System Architecture — Map services, databases, queues, and their connections on a freeform canvas. Nodes are rendered as typed shapes (rectangles, cylinders, hexagons, diamonds, clouds) with labelled, styled connections.
More categories are on the way.
Real-Time Collaboration
Share projects with your team as owners, editors, or viewers. See who's online, watch edits happen live, and communicate through built-in ephemeral chat — all within the graph editor.
Who We Are
Relational Nodes is built and maintained by Two E Ideas Pty Ltd, an Australian software company focused on building tools that help teams think more clearly about their data and systems.
